Charles “Chuck” W. Vahovick
With more than forty years’ experience owning and operating construction and manufacturing businesses, Chuck started Avendren® Building Systems to bring his commitment to quality and his innovative construction process to California’s schools. He considers graduating from Corona High School the toughest job he ever completed, and he credits his teachers—especially his agriculture teacher, Mr. Lyle J. Hawley—for helping him see the task through. His perseverance and work ethic helped him start several successful construction businesses, and his businesses grew quickly in an era when a handshake deal came with a promise of high quality and a job well done, no matter how big the project.
That was a promise Chuck kept for all his clients, whether it was manufacturing a custom trailer, installing drywall and tile, overseeing residential and commercial concrete projects, or completing full-scale construction of condominiums, classrooms, and more throughout Southern California. Handshake deals might be a thing of the past, but Chuck believes in the same standards of integrity and service and, along with his expertise in materials and construction practices, aims to revolutionize the future of construction. In addition to founding the company and creating the architectural designs and proprietary processes at the heart of Avendren’s approach, he is intimately involved in the day-to-day operations of the business to ensure that every project meets his high standards.
